"Whisky in my Blood" by DAVE ARCARI & HELLSINKI HELLRAISERS is going to be released on Monday, March 25th, 2013 (BNCD 012 & BNLP 012)!
As well as CD, the album will be available on limited edition heavyweight coloured vinyl (with a free digital download). Standalone digital download (iTunes, Amazon MP3 eMusic etc) is via Buzz Records, UK.
Celtic spirit and passion slide guitarist & songwriter Dave Arcari is accompanied on all tracks but one by Hellsinki Hellraisers consisting of seasoned musicians coming from the capital of Finland, Helsinki: Juuso Haapasalo (upright & electric bass) and Honey Aaltonen (snare drum, cymbal, rub-board), both of whom featured on three tracks on Arcari’s last album, Nobody’s Fool (Dixiefrog Records, France).
On this new album Arcari & Hellsinki Hellraisers offer 14 tracks of rough playing, which all are written by Arcari, except three covers; Bukka White’s Jitterbug Swing plus Walkin’ Blues and Preachin’ Blues from Robert Johnson. Arcari’s music sounds owe as much to trash country, punk and rockabilly as they do pre-war Delta blues and have previously been showcased via seven internationally-acclaimed solo CD releases.
Said about Dave Arcari:
”Dave plays like he got his skin turned inside out and pretty soon my skin was insideout too listening and it was all good. That boy bleeds for you - he's a real down deep player and a soul man.”

He is also an accomplished musician, who has recorded his own country-blues tinged repertoire since 1997, run the workshops and performed as a solo artist as well as with a number of different bands on remarkable arenas. On his first visit to Finland he is seen at Savoy with his own acoustic guitar accompaniment only.
Tommy Brown (USA) - Tommy Brown is a living legend. He is best remembered for his rhythm 'n' blues classics from the 50's, which also include the 1951 Billboard # 1 hit ”Weepin' & Cryin'”. Born 1931, Brown still records and performs actively around the world. He is described as a performer who will make you dance, sing, laugh and cry, and this all during one set only.
Dr. Snout & his Hogs of Rhythm (FIN) – This 6-piece band consisting of leading Finnish musicians will accompany Tommy Brown at the Savoy Theatre, and acts as a ”house band” at the Dance Hall Party in the evening. The band's roots are in the 70's, and its members share a love for 40's and 50's jump blues, not forgetting the rock'n'roll and vocal group influences. At the club the Hogs of Rhythm perform with guests, such as Finnish doowop group The Relics.
The Relics (FIN) – Based in the metropolitan area, The Relics is Finland's only doowop group performing in an authentic 1950's singing group style, and they have long worked just with the Hogs of Rhythm orchestra.
Demetria Taylor Blues Band feat. At their first visit to Finland they arrive with an ”all-black" band, which includes also the famous Chicago blues artist, tenor saxophonist Eddie Shaw, who has also been a been a member and an orchestra leader of Muddy Waters' and Howlin 'Wolf's bands during his career . Own recordings he has done since 1978. Demetria Taylor's most recent achievements include the 2012 Female Blues Vocalist Award, awarded by The Bay Area Blues Society West Coast Hall of Fame.
Fabulettes (FIN) - Fabulettes is a vintage soul band consisting of Mari Hatakka, Tiina Isohanni and Saara Soisalo, founded in 1993. Rita Engedalen & Backbone (NOR) - Rita Engedalen representing the Scandinavian dimension for ”Stompin’ At The Savoy” is a strong-voiced singer influenced by the American folk and blues music. In 2012 she won the European Blues Challenge organized by the European Blues Union. Rita arrives in Finland – she also for the first time – with her high-quality Backbone band.

Now, this charismatic performer, blessed with a great classical singing voice and an spellbinding presentation skill, is coming to play at the Savoy Theatre with His Band his jump-style danceable rhythm music, as presented in sold-out gigs in various parts of Europe.
Jussi Syren & the Groundbreakers (FIN) - This group is one of the few bluegrass groups outside USA, who have actively played worldwide for years.
